Oahu – A place worth a visit:
The main reason for going on a vacation is to take a break from the usual hectic life and just relaxing your body and mind. Oahu in Hawaii is the ideal location that will best serve your purpose. With a blend of both scenic beauty and cosmopolitan conveniences Oahu is surely going to give you an experience of a lifetime. Wherever you go in Oahu you will find something to admire and enjoy may it be the living style and culture of people there or the wonderful cool beaches around the town. Not too far away is the famous Waikiki beach wherein one can spend days and nights enjoying the lovely cool weather along with various water sport and other recreational activities. Thus Oahu will definitely keep you entertained and make your holiday a memorable one.


Visiting Oahu does not only mean the cool beaches but it also means various adventurous activities like mountain hiking etc. For those who are fond of seeing forests and love wildlife can enjoy this part of the trip. The valleys just near the city of Honolulu are worth exploring and have been quite the same in the past many years. One can have food of the highest quality in a five star hotel or can choose to have it on a roadside wagon with each of them having its own grace. The rainbow is often seen in the sky and can form a beautiful sight while you are freaking out.


Honolulu forms the capital city of Hawaii and is an integral part of the islands. With various museums and palaces the city attracts thousands of art lovers from all over the world. The Bishops Museum and the Iolani Palace are some of the famous tourist attractions. To go along with the forts and museums the place also has a Chinatown wherein you will find some of the most primitive art forms and architecture.
Oahu is a very interesting place to visit and it would be better off for you if you hire a taxi and go around visiting each and every tourist spot. The Maunalua bay is just about 2 miles away from the city. Other tourists spot include the Hawai’I Kai and the famous road from Koko Head to Hanauma Bay wherein you will find many people playing and enjoying with fishes.


Talking of the windy side of Oahu, the Makapu’s Point is a famous spot from where one can see the neighboring island of Molokai. If you want to witness the rural life of Oahu then you must visit the town of Waimanalo which is very relaxing and calm.
If you move further you will arrive in the town of Kailua which is famous for 2 beaches- Lanikal and Kailua beaches with each having its own specialties. The Lanikal beach for normal watersport activities because the waves here are of medium height whereas the Kailua beach which stretches for about 2 miles is famous for having fun by roaming here and there on the beach. On your way back to Oahu you can visit the Ko’olau Mountains on the Pali Highway which presents you with eye pleasing scenery towards the windward side.

It is advised that while you drive through the place keep the pace of the car as slow as possible so that you can get a complete picture of the region. Kakalu’u, Waikane, Kahana, and Punalu’u are some of the coast lines along the windward side of Oahu. Besides the beaches on these coast lines one can find some special food items on sale at the stores nearby. One of the bigger places in Oahu is the La’ie which houses a unique Mormon temple. The Polynesian Cultural Centre is also located in this region.
The northern side of Oahu is famous for its surfing beaches and one can find the Kahuku Point during travel. If you go back to Honolulu from this region than you will find many sugar and pineapple fields along with Lo’olau and Wai’anae Mountn ranges.


Towards the western side of Oahu you will find the magnificent Leewards’s coast and various other beaches like Nanakuli and Makaha. One major attraction of the place is the Ka’ena Point on the Kaneana cave where one can have views of the Pacific Ocean.


The time taken to complete a round trip of Oahu may vary from person to person but its always better to spend some time at each and every place rather than rushing on with things because the real fun of a place can only be experienced when you have enough time at your disposal.
