A luxury community comprised of executive condos and lavish homes sitting along the coastline, Diamond Head is a truly remarkable place to live. It is often referred to as "Hawaii's Gold Coast", due to the its incredible location which provides locals with remarkably panoramic and unobstructed views of the Pacific Ocean. Diamond Head is an upscale community which boasts large homes such as Doris Duke's Shangri La, as well as some of the houses that were a part of MTV's The Real World: Hawaii. People who live in this opulent neighborhood have plenty of access to outside activities. One such activity is the Diamond Head State Monument, which has a walking track that leads to the famous crater and a popular picnic area. There is also the lush green open space of Kapiolani Park, which is only a short walk away. Kapiolani Park has a field where resident sport teams can practice, as well as an archery range and tennis courts which locals are free to make use of. The Park grounds also encompass the Waikiki Band Stand and the Waikiki Shell Arena, where both local performers and world famous musicians put on shows regularly.
