Halawa Real Estate
Located in the small area of central Oahu, Halawa has been a cultural and historical spot for native Hawaiians for hundreds of ye ars. Most of the Halawa Vally is still undeveloped. Those who wish to preserve the area have been greatly upset by the pollution generated in Pearl Harbor, and the construction of the H-3 freeway, which cuts through various sacred spots.
The residential section of Halawa has been disjointed because of the H-3 consruction. Freeway on-ramps, off-ramps and overpasses circumvent the area. Halawa also has a large industrial section, and encompasses parts of Pearl Harbor at the base of the valley.
Halawa residents have close access to the freeway allowing easy commute to and out of the town. However, residents have the option to just stay within the community. There are already a number of businesses an d restaurants that are just a short distance away.
Halawa is especially located near the Aloha Stadium, which is the main location for many major sports events on Oahu. This is the home field of University of Hawaii Warrior football team. The stadium also hosts a local weekly swap meet. There is a small shopping plaza near the stadium where you’ll find a number of fast-foods spots, eateries featuring local fare, small shops and the island’s only ice skating rink.
