For many, Hawaii is location for their dream vacation or dream house because many people expect to come to Hawaii and feel like they’re in paradise.  However, for many who actually come here they’ll find that its not as simple as that, and that many places, especially on Oahu, may not seem quite like paradise at all.  Nevertheless, no matter where you live in Hawaii, you can still find many reasons to believe that living in Hawaii is still better than living anywhere else.

First of all, Hawaii has an extremely pleasant climate with normally clear, sunny skies and temperatures that are relatively warm all year round, with weather not being nearly as extreme as it is in other parts of the nation.  Although the pace of life is somewhat faster on Oahu than the other islands, the pace of life throughout Hawaii as a whole is still slower than most other states, allowing people to find life much more relaxing and laid-back.  If anything, living in Hawaii is most like living somewhere in the Midwest.  And even though the cost of living in Hawaii is relatively high, you will be able to enjoy all of the wonderful shopping, dining, entertainment, and attractions that Hawaii has to offer, especially its famous, breathtaking beaches.

Oh my!!  This sounds so wonderful!  I can't wait to move over to Hilo!  I've been in contact with a local hospital and they do have positions available so I can start to work right away.  My little one isn't old enough to know what "moving" is yet but I think she will like it.

For many you are right, it is a dream and one that may never come true. For those few I have known that were able to live their dream they have always been hard workers, saving up and moving when the time is right. We all want paradise but not all of us actually get it.

When I was younger, Hawaii was the one place I never had a desire to visit.  My impression was that it was severely overrated.  When I finally was able to be in Hawaii as a result of being in the military, I realized how wrong I had been all those years.  I knew then that I would always want to live on Oahu.

For me, it's a matter of timing.  When I first vacationed in Hawaii, one of the things that grabbed my attention was the pace, the slowness of it.  The clock wasn't a big deal.  That was great for vacation, but for every day, it wasn't right for me -- then.  Now, though, I'm ready to forget about that clock on the wall and enjoy all the peace that is Hawaii.

If a person can afford it, I say why not live in Hawaii? It's something I've been debating with myself for about 5 years now, and it's starting to look better as each year passes.

I am excited to move to Hawaii and since I am taking a job as a nanny out there I won't have to absorb the cost of the move or the living expenses.  I don't know how much time I will have to enjoy the islands but I am excited nonetheless.
