Nanny Job in Honolulu

I have been offered a nanny position in Honolulu.  I am originally from rural Michigan and I am wondering besides the weather what the major differences are between the two locales.  What are the people and culture of Honolulu, what do the locals do for fun, etc?

Honolulu is known for visual arts and performing arts.  Honolulu Symphony is the oldest U.S. Symphony orchestra and is situated in the west of the Rocky mountains.  Honolulu also houses the Hawaii Opera Theater.

That is awesome. I love theater and museums so it sounds like the perfect place for me.  Where I live now there is very little of that and I am looking to expand my horizons so to speak.

What a wonderful opportunity you have. I envy you being close to Waikiki beach, which looks stunning in pictures. I also heard there are free movies shown there sometimes, on giant screens.

Kaitlin, that sounds great! I go to stuff like that here at home and I love it.  We have a lawnchair film festival here that I go to every Sunday.
