Leeward Oahu is one of Hawaii`s remote areas. Not many tourists visit here. It has a very rough coastline. You can find the oldest lava on Oahu along this shore. The surf is very unpredictable so you need to be careful when swimming or surfing.

That sounds like the place for me. I like remote areas. What kind of housing is there in that area? And what about jobs? I`m not a surfer but I like the idea of rough coastline. It reminds me of some of the places I read about in the novels I love to read. A big home over looking the rough ocean. Maybe with lots of cliffs. It sounds like a place authors live.

I'm just wondering how remote this place is. How do you commute to and from that place? What amenities are available to residents? What jobs are available?

They do have the "Wild side Specialty Tours" at the Waianae Boat Harbor. It`s sort of a "mom and pop" type operation. They have two vessels they use for the tours. There could be jobs there if you like that type of thing. I really couldn`t find much as far as jobs in that area but I`ll keep searching.

I checked on housing on Leeward Shore. I found a few listings for a 2 bedroom home. For a 1,500 sq.ft. home it`s $725,000. A 624 sq. ft. home is $295,000. A 960 sq. ft. home is $288,000. That`s pretty expensive for a small home. I imagine that the people that live here work some place other than Leeward.

That is pretty pricy for those size homes, are there any other nice towns on the Leeward coast other than Ewa? I was thinking about Nanakuki.

Actual like any other listings you can get it for much less than what is posted. Now, if you're good at bargaining then you can easily get one.
