I just go there to watch and sometimes I can pick up some pointers from the more experienced surfers. I'm not as gung ho about surfing as some people are though.

Northshore Oahu is amazing for surfing Cheesy I went there a couple of years ago with a group of friends, but being the amateur that i am, i did not go out as far as my friends. The waves were HUGE lol. I stayed closer to the shore, catching the smaller waves, but it was still tons of fun, and every so often a huge wave will come in close to shore and i tried to ride it Tongue

Are surfing competitions also conducted in Oahu every year?  Where to get the necessary information about these competitions and tournaments?
