What is the job market currently like on North shore Oahu? Would I need to be in the surfing industry to make it here?

Jobs are more limited on Northshore. But they do have restaurants, retail stores, and schools. The bulk of the jobs are in Honolulu. The minimum wage is $7.25. A lot of people in Hawaii work more than one job to make ends meet.

You can always check the job sites too. You may have to live in Honolulu and live in Northshore. I read that a lot of people do that. I saw many jobs in Honolulu on the job sites.

Oh really. I'll try at the job site on, line most probably I'll find one. But then again Northshore Oahu as they say has a limited potential labor market.

You don't mention the kind of work you're interested in but if you're thinking of moving to the North Shore, you're probably already not expecting to find certain types of work.  There are schools in the area if that might interest you.  There probably are medical jobs in the area, too.  Turtle Bay is right there on the North Shore; they may be hiring.  Of course, almost anything related to the tourist industry can be found even on this part of Oahu.

This is one reason I want to save up as best I can before I move. I was never born with a gold spoon in my mouth (or silver) but a trust fund can only go so far. Since I was 16 I have been working and I do not want to make such a large move unless I know I can financially handle it.

I heard there there are a handful of golf courses around, that would be nice considering I'm a certified teaching pro. I could also work at the golf course that too is covered by my certificate of golf management.

This site is really getting exciting.
