Does anyone have a favorite area in Waikiki to go surfing?
Waikiki is the best place if you want to be quickly and easily near a surfing spot and it can be for beginners as well as the more experienced. Yes it can be a tourist trap but you can also feel like your permanently on vacation even if its just for a couple hours of surfing in the morning or afternoon.  What a life.

Had a beautiful day at Kuhio beach in Waikiki yesterday. The waves were good for beginners and the kids were even standing on boogie boards so the little ones had a day for memories; we left at sunset which made for a good day.
Yes, Hawaii can be expensive to live but definitely it can be off set with simple pleasures.

It is good to see some online lessons whereby you can learn surfing.  Surf lessons are given online.
