Hi! Could you tell me about the living standards and the environment and culture in Kaneohe? Is it densely populated? Near beaches? Is it an affluent or middle class community?

Kaneohe is one of the largest residential communities in Oahu. It is located along Kaneohe Bay, where the US Marine Corps base facility, Marine Corps Base Hawaii (MCBH) is located. There are several tourist attractions in Kaneohe including Ho'omaluhia Botanical Garden, the Sea Life Park,  Honolulu Zoo and the Käne‘ohe Beach Park.

Median family income in Kaneohe is top 8% compared to other places in Hawaii. Poverty level is low. It was formerly an agricultural community and home to ancient kings, but is now a residential community. The culture is a mixture of different races including Asian, Pacific Islander, Hispanic, etc.

Is it easy to land a job in Kanoehe. Considering they have only around 36,500 people residing in that area of Hawaii.  Or putting up a small business is better considering the residents are above average income earners.

I have a friend that lives in this section of Oahu and she and her family have always spoken highly of the area.  It's Hawaii, there are going to be beaches within a short distance no matter where you are on the island.  As far as landing a job, it's really no different than anywhere else; it's all dependent upon what is open, what you're looking for, what they're looking for, and the competition for that position.
