There are different type of homes available in the city of Kaneohe for those who relocate to this area.  Apt, multi family homes, single family homes are very popular there.

Near the mall there are a lot of town homes and near the Kaneohe Marine base there is definitely a lot of home rentals.  Also what's great is  if you get a place by Kaneohe bay it's so beautiful but if you get a home facing the Ko'olau mountains (you can see them in Jurassic park or mighty Joe Young) it's so tranquil and majestic.

I think I would like a home near the mountains. I like  my peace when I'm at home, and I've always liked mountains in general. They're just nature in it's purest form.
