Kauai – Hawai’i Island of Discovery:
One of the oldest Islands of Hawaii, Kauai has the reputation of being rural in the modern era. Its one of the most calm and serene places of Hawaii which is surely going to give you an experience that will be cherished by you for many more years to come and you would love to come to the place over and over again. This place is famous for its tropical forests and greenery where you will find magnificent waterfalls flowing down the hills. The Na Pali Coast is a gift to this place and people are surprised to see the 14 mile long vertical seamount. One can see this place either by taking a ride on a helicopter or on a boat.


Other natural wonders like Wailua Falls, Waimea Canyon and one of the longest beaches of Hawaii, the Polihale Beach are also part of this island. Its one of the places which is renowned worldwide for its natural beauty and this is why many films have been shot here.
This island has a long history associated with it even longer than its sister islands because it evolved way before the other islands. Nature has bestowed on this island beautiful valleys, canyons and trenches that are worth seeing. The numerous long beaches on this island have a diverse flora and one can stroll alongside the beach providing a real soothing effect.

Here is a brief description of what you can see while you are at this island. Firstly you can drive to Lihue which is very near to the airport. A beach of the name of the Kalapaki Beach is good for swimming and other water sport activities. If you move northwards along the Coconut Coast you will arrive at Wailua, Kapa’a and Anahola towns which are heavily populated. Some of the best scenic views of this island are seen in this part and you will find a lot many numbers of hotels, restaurants, shopping complexes. Also the Wailua river lies in this region.


If you move ahead you will arrive at the town of Princeville which is known for its Princeville Resort. Nearby this place lies the town of Ha’ena which has a State Park and the Na Pali Coast. The other side of the island has even more fascinating things for you to see and moreover while you drive back the same route you can see the beautiful sceneries that you missed the first time around.


The Southern Shore of Kauai experiences beautiful sunshine and has a vast stretch of the beautiful eucalyptus trees. The southern part has towns like Po’ipu which have resorts of good quality. The resorts have facilities of fine dining and playing golf and tennis which can be enjoyed a lot. Besides this there are many areas where plantations of different crops can be seen, Koloa is one of them.


The Western region of Kauai is more or less hilly with towns having lesser population. In this region you will find the magnificent Waimea canyon which is 3500 feet deep. This region is good for carrying out hiking and other activities like horse riding. One can see this canyon while riding a horse and discover its true beauty which was called as the “Grand Canyon of the Pacific” by famous writer, Mark Twain. The Kalalau valley, also part of this region forms a beautiful scenery when viewd from the road.


Thus we find that Kauai is a place where people of every kind can have fun. It does not matter whether you are young or old, love nature or sports; it has something to offer for all and forms the perfect tourist spot. Most of the resorts do have their own golf courses which can make your stay even more enjoyable. There cannot be a better place than this one to spend your honeymoon just because of the reason that it is really a peaceful and a romantic location that will help you to come closer to your partner.


Not only for couples even families can enjoy a lot with many recreational activities like hiking, Para-gliding, snorkeling, strolling on the beaches, swimming etc. This was all about the various activities that you can undertake at this place well apart from this Hawaii has a vast variety of cultures and therefore you will find different varieties of food being served in the restaurants which will be liked by you.
