On the Windward side of Oahu you will find Lanikai, a beach side community of single family houses situated on one of the most popular beaches in all of Hawaii. The calming waters and white sands that Lanikai beach boasts makes it wildly popular with the locals and tourists alike; it is perfect for sunbathing, kayaking, enjoying a swim or even just having a picnic with your friends or family. Close by in Kailua Town, residents are able to find any service or store they need. The number of businesses in the center of Kailua town includes every service from designers to dog sitters, and even a Macy's. As you would probably expect there is also ample access to dentists, doctors and lawyers, meaning that residents rarely need to take the 30 minute trip to Honolulu if they don't want to. The area is a part of the Kailua school district, which has six different elementary schools leading up to Kailua Intermediate Middle School and Kailua High School.
