A subdivision of Waianae, Lualualei composed of single-family homes, apartments and condominiums. Part of the area is dedicated to the Hawaiian Homestead Lands. Entering this area, you will be welcomed by stunning views of the Waianae Mountain Range. Moreover, residents have direct access to the pristine coastline as well. Waianae is one of the few places on Oahu where locals still farm products like vegetables, flowers and livestock.

Outdoor activities are popular in Lualualei. There are two camping grounds in this area; they are Camp Timberline and Camp Mokuleia. Locals and tourists can also enjoy hiking in the trails of Honouliuli Contoru Trail, Dupong Trail and Mokuleia Trail. Lualualie Reservoir is also a popular area for residents to hang out. Lualualei is also home to the Makaha Golf Course, which is an 18-hole world class course and a country club.

Lulalualei is part f the Waianae-Nanakuli Complex school district. The district includes six elementary schools. They are Waianae and Nanakuli intermediate and high schools. There are also other schools, which specialize and focus on the nati ve Hawaiian traditions and values, found in the area.
