Maui – the Magic Isle
Maui is one of the few places that is destined to give you lots of fun on your vacation. In Central Maui you will find the Kahalawai Mountain which is volcanic in nature. Near this region lies the city of Lahaina which was once the royal capital of Hawaii. This city has resorts like Ka’anapali, Kahana, Napili and Kapalua which provide world class facilities to its customers. The city is now an important port and the streets here have managed to retain the old charm. Shopping streets like the Front Street have shops, restaurants and a lot of hustle and bustle.
In the central region you can also find the Wailuku and Kahului regions which are surrounded by the Iao Valley. Wailuku is famous for its antiques and ancient monuments whereas Kahului is more or less of a commercial place which is famous for its malls and art galleries. The biggest mall of the island, the Kaahumanu Shopping Center also lies in this region.
