McCully - Kapiolani
A big, major road on Oahu, Kapiolani Boulevard is full of high rise apartment buildings and condos all the way along. There are also a number of older houses in the surrounding area, and the neighborhood bisects with both the McCully and Moiliili districts. Kapiolani is very much the heartbeat of urban Honolulu and locals here have access to a number of stores and activities to enjoy, including the largest mall on the entire island, the Ala Moana Center; there are also a number of smaller businesses nearby. Another favorite amongst residents is the McCully Shopping Center; a two story mall with a laundromat, hairdressing services, clothing boutiques for women, as well as plenty of places to eat featuring foods from all over world, such as Thai, Japanese, Italian and Chinese foods. If you follow Kapiolani Boulevard, you will find the Market City Shopping Center; it houses a Foodland store for your everyday grocery requirements, a storage center and the Pet's Discount store. When it comes to food at the center you can visit the Gina Bar B Q to enjoy some Korean food for lunch or dinner, or the Formaggio Wine Bar if you feel like having a few drinks. The neighborhood is a part of the Kaimuki school district, which has 7 elementary schools to choose from as well as 2 middle schools, which will prepare your child for their time at Kaimuki High School.
