Molokai – Hawaiian by Nature:

This island has a small population and you will rarely see a hotel or a resort on this island. It’s a very calm place wherein you can relax yourself because there is not so much of rush on the beaches and other places on the island. Having said that the island does not have too many of luxurious resorts and hotels does not mean that there are’nt any, but infact there are few of them out there. Just stand and admire the natural beauty of this island which has about 58 fishponds along the southern shore of the island. Lined on the inner side with rocks these appear fantastic when viewed from a distance. Apart from this you will also find the huge temple platform whose size is really going to fascinate you.
With the island being 40 miles long and 10 miles wide it has many places worth visiting like the Kamakou Preserve forest which houses many endangered species and provides a shelter for them. The Northern side of the island has some of the tallest cliffs of the world that are about 3000 feet high.

Moving on to the western part of the island you will find some of the least populated regions of the island where there are large beaches which remain nearly empty. The western side of the island has some of the best resorts like Sheraton Molokai Lodge and Beach Village wherein people stay and get an opportunity to get up close with nature and its beauty.
